About Natalie's
Gut-Z Journey

My mission is to break down limitations for outdoor enthusiasts by building skills and confidence.  I believe outdoor experiences are transformative and should be accessible to everyone.

I began sharing the outdoors with others as a guide in 2002. Outdoor guiding and field safety have taken me to locations in the US, Mexico, South America, New Zealand and Antarctica. My education background in exercise health science and nutrition has given me the opportunity to coach professional and recreational athletes. I’ve taught wilderness medical courses across the US and have been a  hypothermia and survival expert for the film industry.

I continue to grow my personal experiences to help inspire and enrich my courses and clinics. You can learn more about my story and credentials here.

Natalie is an inspiration. She is very knowledgeable, including extensive Search and Rescue experience, best instructor I've ever had, and has a delightful personality!

It is because of the lessons that you taught me that I saved a life today. I can never thank you enough for passing down the knowledge that I did not think I would ever have to use. I may have responded but you are the true hero Natalie. Thank you.

I thought I had seen the best, but N.B. is right up there and earlier in her career. Top echelon of outdoor professionals. This is clearly in her blood!
