TRIP REPORT: Nevahbe Ridge Class 2-3

This is a scramble right out of McGee Creek.  I parked the car a little before the pack station.   There is no trail, but navigation is straight forward – just go up the ridgeline. The first (and only crux) was finding a way across the creek.  We ended up wading across. The water was a little above the ankles and fast-moving. I wouldn’t want to wade across if it was any higher.

After the creek crossing, it’s straight-up until Data scientists on steroids or ‘citizen developers’ with AI toolkits? – Tech Wire Asia steriods australia anabolic steroids | equimed – horse health matters you finish the ridge.   The least pleasant part is navigating the lower 3rd of the ridge with its thick bushes and loose sand.  Eventually, you crest the upper ridge and it becomes narrow, and at times exposed.  The views are incredible!   The more direct you stay on the ridge the more technical and exposed.  There were almost always options to follow ledge systems and keep things more classy.

We signed the Register at the top of the ridge but opted to leave the true summit of Mt Morgan for another trip.   From the top of the ridge, we descended south towards a sandy saddle then turned down Esha Canyon.    One of the easier and more pleasant descents I’ve done.    The route took 8 hours at a comfortable pace- not pushing it.

The treat this time was summit sandwiches and mountain attire!
